God, Higher Power, Universal Force or whatever you choose to call that which makes things go down here may have shown itself at my house this morning. Please understand that the experience in which I am about to share is not meant to be taken too seriously and I couldn’t help laughing, but it certainly made me think.
I believe it was Albert Einstein who said “coincidence is God’s way of remaining anonymous”. I experienced a coincidence this morning that I thought was quite funny. Before I went to bed last night, I published a post titled “Ignorance Is Not Bliss“. Here is a sentence from that post… “Please keep that in mind the next time you see an animal in need or want to kill an innocent creature, including that ugly spider that you could catch and release outdoors instead of taking its life.”
Well, guess what I found on the carpet this morning? Yup, a BIG ugly spider! I was given the opportunity to practice what I preached by transporting the spider outdoors. FYI, I am not one of those people who pick up insects in their hands and think that they are fascinating, so saving the spider was not particularly pleasant for me
I’ve heard that Einstein was a fairly smart guy
What do you think… is “coincidence God’s way of remaining anonymous”?

I applaud your response to that spider. I’ve always subscribed to the catch it alive, never kill it pest removal method. I’m not squeamish about killing things, I just think it’s totally barbaric to kill something as a first response that is 1) more scared of you than you are of it, 2) no match for a human in the bio-mass department 3) not hurting anyone or anything, but just happens to be in the position of being percieved as a nuisance. Unless it’s in self-defense I won’t kill it.
Kudos to you for your civilized approach!

ZIRGAR,
GREAT COMMENT! I agree completely with your points & hope that others will learn from them and decide not to take a life unnecessarily the next time the opportunity presents itself to decide if another living being lives or dies.

It was indeed a good deed! Do not kill any living being, be it for food or otherwise!
We have not given them life….We have no right to take their live….Simple as that!
They are God’s creation….leave to God…….
Wish more people would understand that! Be Kind to Animals……for they too feel the pain, like humans, only their cant speak out!
