One of my favorite topics to discuss is gratitude. This wasn’t always the case, as twenty years ago I didn’t know what it was to feel gratitude. Apparently I wasn’t at all grateful. Nowadays, the gratitude that I feel is indescribable. See that, it is possible to change.
My last few posts were on the longer side and may have required some intense thought so I thought I would keep this one short and sweet. My gratitude is a result of years of spiritual and psychological practice and right living or at least trying to live right. If you are not as far gone as I was in relation to gratitude and can in fact experience it, then why not make an effort to focus on everything and everyone for which you are grateful? It’s easy to complain and see the negative in this life. It’s not hard to find if you’re looking for it, so don’t look. Do look at all of the positives in your life and this world. Focus on your blessings.
Think about all of the blessings in your life in the morning when you wake, at night before you go to sleep and as much as you can remember to do so throughout your day. If you do this, your heart and your life may just begin to fill with gratitude.
If you are so unhappy and depressed that you cannot feel gratitude for anything at all, keep working on your spirituality and psychological condition through the principles set forth on this site and other self-help sources or perhaps religion may be of help to you. You may need help from a mental health professional or maybe there is something not right with you medically that is causing your emotional and psychological problems. I am not a doctor or mental health professional. These are only my thoughts and opinions. It is up to you to seek the appropriate professional help.
I wish that everyone who reads this can experience at least some degree of gratitude. I do believe that most everyone who continues to progress spiritually will continue to experience more gratitude as well.
